Tempered glass is a kind of safety glass that is made by heating float glass to softening temperature (above 600℃) in a furnace and then cooling it down quickly and uniformly. Since the surface cools faster than the inner core, the glass gets its compressive stress on the surface. When the glass is subjected to external force, the surface stress is first to offset, thereby improving the bearing capacity and enhancing the resistance of the glass itself. Moreover, it’s more resistant to wind pressure, cold and heat, shock, etc.

Features
We generally take 10-12mm thick toughened glass as tabletops, which has extraordinary physical and chemical properties such as impact resistance, pressure resistance and scratch resistance
Strength
Under the same thickness, the impact strength of tempered glass is 3-5 times of that of ordinary glass, and the bending strength is 3-5 times of that of ordinary glass.

The shards of broken glass have no sharp edge and will not cause serious harm to the human body.
Thermal stability
Tempered glass has good thermal stability, it can withstand a temperature difference of 3 times that of ordinary glass, and can withstand a temperature difference of 300℃
